Congratulations! Expecting a new born is exciting. New borns represent hope and the promise of love and we are here to support you through it all with our pre and post natal offering.

Pilates & Yoga are the ultimate form of exercise for women planning, pre and post natal pregnancy and beyond. Given medical approval, it is one of the very few exercise methods that can be continued right up until your bundle of joy arrives. Just as there are no two bodies the same, pregnancy is no different – one thing that remains certain is that your body will experience major and wonderful changes.

We take pride in our pre and post natal program empowering women to practice a wide range of Pilates & Yoga classes throughout our schedule. Our 1:4 Small Group Studio Pilates, Reformer Essentials, Reformer Open & Yin Yoga Classes are all pregnancy friendly – with the only requirement being that you attend a 1:1 Pre-natal consultation at 12 weeks.

Our extensive schedule gives you many choices of time and style. Studio Pilates, Yin Yoga and Basic Reformer Pilates classes are your best choices. Slow Hot Flow, Mat Pilates, Dynamic Reformer and Power Yoga are not suitable during pregnancy.

Congratulations! There is so much you can continue to do when you are pregnant, it’s about tailoring the program to suit the changes your body goes through and adapting your practice to suit.

At One we have a strict policy that no pregnant women are allowed to practice in our 37 degree Slow Hot Flow room. We strongly recommend staying away from practicing in the heat to ensure that you continue to have a safe pregnancy and take care of your baby.

Your pregnancy is also a time to nurture, rest and slow down. So our more dynamic classes such as Dynamic Reformer and Jump board reformer, Hot Mat Pilates and Power Flow we suggest to avoid.

We highly encourage you to consult with your doctor before starting your prenatal practice with us at the studio. Your doctor can give the medical advice and tick of approval to begin safely moving and exercising during your pregnancy. We all have different bodies, different experiences and different pregnancy journeys and your doctor can give you the knowledge you need to then make the right choices about which classes to attend.

A private session with a teacher who specialises in prenatal yoga and pilates is also a fabulous way for us to support you individually before you jump into group classes.
