TAHLIA - PILATES PROGRAM DIRECTOR

Meet Tahlia, our pilates program director, pilates enthusiast, teacher training lead facilitator and retreat coordinator. When you sign up at One Hot Pilates in Melbourne she will be the first person you meet. A voice that sings passion and hard work, an expert in her field and someone who will take the care to ensure your experience goes beyond all expectations. She is as much a student as she is a teacher  with a thirst for  knowledge and commitment to staying open and current, her classes will entertain and transform your understanding of the body and what it’s’ capable of.

ALICE - SENIOR PILATES TEACHER

Alice is an integral part of our One Hot Pilates team in Melbourne. Not only does she teach Reformer, Mat Pilates and private sessions, she is also a facilitator on our Pilates Teacher Training programs. Alice has been moving since she was young and her it’s that she has an innate understanding of the body and the breathe resulting in seamless and choreographed classes that take out of the head and into the body.  She believes in moving well and having fun whilst doing it!

  • ABOUT PILATES

    The Pilates method of exercise was developed in the early 20th century by German-born Joseph Pilates. Pilates believed that mental and physical health are interrelated and his system of exercises was developed with the intention of strengthening both the mind and the body. An energetic inventor, Pilates designed many pieces of equipment (the most famous and versatile being the Reformer) to assist and challenge those practising his method.

     

    One Hot Pilates is a contemporary, fitness-based style that draws on the traditional method and is accessible to all levels.

  • CAN I VISIT STUDIOS 2, 3 AND 4 WITH MY MEMBERSHIP?

    Yes, come as often as you like – our Pilates membership, called One Hot Everything, gives you unlimited access to reformer Pilates in Studios 3 & 4 as well as all regularly scheduled classes in Studios 1 and 2. With over 100 classes per week and various styles and levels, our memberships represent amazing value.

  • BEFORE CLASS & WHAT TO BRING

    – Be well hydrated
    – Don’t eat for 1.5 hours before class
    – Wear clothes you can move in – leggings or shorts and a tank top
    – Socks with grippy soles will help you hold poses on the reformer
    – If you would like to shower after class, towels are available to hire
    – Water is available to purchase
    – We have showers with body wash, shampoo and conditioner
    – Our change rooms are equipped with hair dryers and straightening irons

  • CAN I VISIT BOTH STUDIO 1 AND STUDIO 2 WITH MY YOGA MEMBERSHIP?

    Yes, come as often as you like – our Yoga membership gives you unlimited access to both studios. With over 60 classes per week and many styles on offer, our memberships represent amazing value.

    We also have new One Hot Everything memberships including both our Yoga and Pilates classes, providing access to our full range of classes and all four studios.

  • ETIQUETTE

    – Arrive at least ten minutes before class as there is no late admittance. The studio is open 15 minutes before class
    – Check-in at reception for all classes
    – No personal belongings in the Pilates studio other than water and towel. There are lockers in the change rooms for valuables
    – No glass water bottles
    – No phones in the Pilates studio
    – Listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions
    – You may lie down at any time to take rest, but commit to staying in the room for the entire class
    – Wipe the upholstery of the reformer, or your mat and surrounding space before you leave the studio
