TRAVEL DETAILS

BY TRAIN

Armadale to South Yarra is one of the most direct train connections in Melbourne’s inner south.

Board the Frankston line at Armadale Station and ride two stops to South Yarra Station. The journey takes around 6 minutes and services run every 15 minutes throughout the day.

BY TRAM

Route 6 runs the length of High Street through Armadale and connects toward the city via St Kilda Road.

Alternatively, board Route 78 for the length of Chapel Street, and get off at the Malcolm Street stop 5 minutes away from the studio.

Check the PTV app for live departure times before heading out.

BY CAR & PARKING

From Armadale, the most natural route is straight up Williams Road or Kooyoung Road heading north.

Turn left into Toorak Road and then right into River Street.

Parking: River Street and the surrounding streets have two-hour free parking, though it fills up during peak times so it is worth leaving a few extra minutes to find a spot. The Vogue building carpark off Chapel Street is a reliable backup if the street is full.

YOGI SHOPPING

High Street in Armadale is one of Melbourne’s best shopping strips, with a strong concentration of Australian and international labels within a short stretch. A few worth knowing about.

  • Nimble is a go-to for well-made activewear. If you are looking to pick up something new before your next class, it is a sensible first stop and reliably stocked with quality options.
  • High Street more broadly is home to Mecca, Camilla and Marc, Bul, Acne Studios, Lee Matthews, Assembly Label, Jac and Jack, Dion Lee, Zimmermann and Fenton and Fenton. It is the kind of strip that rewards a slow walk with no particular agenda.

YOGI EATS

  • Moby is a solid post-session stop. Their poke bowl is a considered combination: sushi rice, cured salmon, edamame, pickled ginger, sesame-crusted avocado and chilli. Nourishing without being heavy, which is exactly what you want after an hour on the mat.
