Our One Hot Yoga & Pilates Studio based in South Yarra is only an 8-minute drive away from Hawthorn when travelling by car. You can also bike your way to enjoy a 16-minute ride to your next yoga session; cycling along the Yarra is one of the nicest ways to arrive on a clear Melbourne morning.
From Hawthorn, our studio is fenced by Toorak Road and Glenferrie Road as part of the city’s suburban grid, heading west towards the city at 36 River Street, South Yarra.
Hawthorn sits right along the Yarra River Trail, making the ride to our studio one of Melbourne’s more enjoyable commutes. Once you reach the Toorak Road bridge, head north up River Street and the studio is a short way along on your right. It’s a scenic, largely flat route with minimal traffic — a genuinely nice way to arrive.
Board the Lilydale / Belgrave line from Glenferrie Station and alight at Richmond, then transfer to a Frankston / Pakenham / Sandringham service for one stop to South Yarra Station. For those keen on mixing in their daily steps on the way, our studio is roughly a 28 minute walk from Richmond Station.
Route 70 runs along Swan Street; take the route until the Church Street intersection, where you’ll transfer to the Route 78 down to the Malcolm Street / Church Street stop, roughly a 5 minute walk from our studio space.
Glenferrie Road is Hawthorn’s main strip, and is a bounty of multicultural cuisines both casual and formal alike (courtesy of its young, vibrant student population). Here’s where we like to eat and drink before or after a session at the studio.
Hawthorn is one of Melbourne’s most liveable inner suburbs, with grand heritage architecture, leafy streets and a community feel that has held its own by virtue of its burgeoning range of ages and demographics. A few spots worth knowing about beyond the food.
