I like to shop around so have trialled most of the studios in the area and this one is by far my favourite. It’s the complete package! Before One Hot Pilates opened, I used to get my yoga fix from one studio and my Pilates fix from another so it’s really great to be able to get both from the same studio covered by the same membership. All the teachers here are lovely, encouraging and supportive and the class options are extensive which is handy for someone like me who likes to mix up my practice with different class styles at different times. There’s always a range of different classes going so One fits into my schedule rather than the other way around. The studios themselves are stunning! Beautifully designed spaces that are a pleasure to spend time in and the hot studio doesn’t have that hot yoga stink that you can’t escape at other studios. Highly recommend!

The Pilates method of exercise was developed in the early 20th century by German-born Joseph Pilates. Pilates believed that mental and physical health are interrelated and his system of exercises was developed with the intention of strengthening both the mind and the body. An energetic inventor, Pilates designed many pieces of equipment (the most famous and versatile being the Reformer) to assist and challenge those practising his method.
One Hot Pilates is a contemporary, fitness-based style that draws on the traditional method and is accessible to all levels.
– Be well hydrated
– Don’t eat for 1.5 hours before class
– Wear clothes you can move in – leggings or shorts and a tank top
– Socks with grippy soles will help you hold poses on the reformer
– If you would like to shower after class, towels are available to hire
– Water is available to purchase
– We have showers with body wash, shampoo and conditioner
– Our change rooms are equipped with hair dryers and straightening irons
– Arrive at least ten minutes before class as there is no late admittance. The studio is open 15 minutes before class
– Check-in at reception for all classes
– No personal belongings in the Pilates studio other than water and towel. There are lockers in the change rooms for valuables
– No glass water bottles
– No phones in the Pilates studio
– Listen carefully to the teacher’s instructions
– You may lie down at any time to take rest, but commit to staying in the room for the entire class
– Wipe the upholstery of the reformer, or your mat and surrounding space before you leave the studio

Yes, absolutely. Our reformer Pilates classes are designed for all experience levels, including complete beginners. The machines might look intimidating at first, but our instructors explain everything clearly and offer adjustments to help you build confidence, strength, and control, step by step.
Mat Pilates uses your body weight and a floor mat, while reformer Pilates uses a machine with springs and resistance. Both build core strength, but the reformer adds more variety and support. It’s especially useful for beginners, rehab, or anyone wanting to target specific muscles more precisely.
Absolutely. Many of our members combine reformer Pilates classes with hot yoga to complement strength training with flexibility and recovery. It’s a dynamic duo that delivers a complete practice while keeping things interesting across the week.
For hot yoga, bring a towel and water. You’ll sweat (a lot). For reformer classes, wear fitted clothes and grip socks (or be barefooted) to keep things safe and stable on the carriage. Everything else? We’ve got you covered, including the vibe.
