THEME OF THE WEEK : IMPERMANENCE
Life is ever changing. Both the world around us and who we are. Impermanence is the truth of life. Embracing it in our most basic daily activities can be the key to everyday ease. I think the more we can be open to change, the less stress and hardship we will endure. Hopefully our yoga and pilates practices keep us more flexible in the mind with the goal of less suffering.
Nothing stays the same. You know that tightness in your chest, that discomfort of being in a new situation, that FEAR of f-ing up?! This fear is absolutely amazing and necessary. You can let it eat away at you, or you can you it to overcome adversity and EXPAND. It’s your decision to stay stressed out in your current little lobster shell finding remedies here and there to push the fear aside or you can embrace your fear. You can get to know it.
Khalil Gibran says it best: Your pain is the breaking of the shell that encloses your understanding. Even as the stone of the fruit must break, that it’s heart may stand in the sun, so must you know pain.
