Our theme this week is NOW. In both Pilates and Yoga, we use the breath to come into the present moment. Often when we feel stressed, like in a difficult pose or exercise, we try to distract ourselves from the discomfort. Naturally! Our minds like to escape through creating stories. These stories are usually in the past or future and take you away from the present. The breath brings you back into the Now. This is where the practice lies, in coming back to the breath. Every time you come back to the breath, you come back to the present and to what’s real. It doesn’t matter how many times you have to come back, that’s why they call it a practice!
