Each class at One is what you make it – we’re here to guide you in a beautiful, contemporary studio. Our unique fresh-air, low-energy heating system and complimentary mats, blocks, bolsters and straps make every session as comfortable as possible. Although there’s a common framework, each class explores different themes and postures that vary with our teachers.

SLOW HOT FLOW

“WHERE SWEAT TURNS TO SHINE”

One Hot Yoga’s signature Slow Hot Flow centres on personal progress. This 37˚C class balances freedom within structure and redefines individual limits. The 60-minute class includes balances, deep core strengthening, floor work and guided relaxation. Students are welcome to lie down and rest at any stage during the class.

POWER FLOW

“BEND ‘TIL YOU CAN’T BREAK”

Feel the heat from the inside out and uncover abilities you didn’t know you had. Power Flow is a contemporary, 27˚C practice that allows students to master inversions and arm balances, which can be more difficult to achieve in hotter studios. Feel your fitness improve, regardless of your level.

Level Two Power Flow

“PROGRESS WITH PURPOSE”

These classes are an opportunity to delve deeper into the practice of yoga. A workshop style class to help you build your understanding of the details of the pose, as well as offer you an opportunity to try new poses and transitions. Here you can learn variations of the practice that you can take into our general classes either to challenge or adapt to your specific needs. Highly recommended for those with a regular practice who are wanting to take their practice to the next level.

YIN

“YIN FOR THE WIN”

The ultimate class for creating a balanced practice, this class takes place in a warm room and involves supported postures that facilitate deep release. FRIDAY FLOW

“THANK GOD IT’S MY-DAY”

This 90-minute class is held on the first Friday of every month. Teacher and class style varies each month to lend resonance to our theme. Previous Friday Flows have included live music, blindfolds, body rolling, laser lights and 80’s soundtracks.

OUR PILATES STYLE

There’s a reason people are addicted to pilates. They become the master
of their own bodies, taking charge to build strength and improve physique. Through this control comes satisfaction – the mental and physical become linked as you learn to move mindfully. One Hot Pilates is enhanced with a fresh air climate-control system to help you get stronger, faster. The goal is alignment, inside the studio and out.

HOT MAT PILATES 27°

“BUILD STRENGTH FROM THE INSIDE OUT”

One Hot Yoga & Pilates is proud to be the first studio in the world to offer Hot Mat Pilates. This workout is a strong sequence that emphasises mobility and builds control of the spine and core. Make the most of traditional and modern equipment in a room heated to 27ºC. This 50-minute class is all about challenging yourself, and the rewards are worth it.

REFORMER PILATES 21°

“LAY FOUNDATIONS FOR TRANSFORMATION”

Building strength and overcoming mental barriers is one thing; truly challenging yourself is another. The Allegro 2 Reformer helps create change through challenge. During this 45-minute, 21 ̊C class, the apparatus becomes an extension of your body, creating a dynamic form of exercise that builds core strength while testing stability with a rolling carriage and resistance springs. Daily improvements for big results.

One cultivates our yogi community by offering workshops that build upon existing classes. Each varies according to the teacher or guest speaker and will advance your practice.   • DO YOU DO REHAB PILATES?

    The scope of Pilates is huge – it can enhance the performance of elite athletes through to rehab for serious injuries. We focus on those who are in general good health and would like to improve their performance at the sport of life. To that end, our group reformer and mat Pilates classes are not suitable for those with injury. If you have an injury or illness and require one on one, please contact us to arrange a private class.

  • IS IT CLASSICAL OR CONTEMPORARY PILATES?

    We love classical pilates, however we also value the contribution of contemporary biomechanics to the field and modify many of the traditional exercises and play with new ones. Our teachers have learnt from a variety of first and second generation Pilates teachers and often get creative. We love to include music. We love to get your heart pumping and muscles shaking.

  • IS THERE A ONE HOT YOGA TEACHER TRAINING?

    Our 200 hour One Hot Yoga Teacher Training is currently in development. We hope to have our first intake in late 2016 in our South Yarra studio. Please contact us if you would like to be notified when we are taking enrolments.

  • DOES YOGA AND PILATES GET YOU FIT?

    YES! Search pubmed for the ever increasing evidence for both Yoga and Pilates and their benefits on recovery from injury and illness, prevention of injury and illness, and ability to improve most major biomarkers including blood pressure, mobility, stability, sleep and happiness.

  • IS IT THE SAME AS BIKRAM YOGA?

    No, we are not a Bikram yoga studio. Bikram is an unchanging, 90-minute sequence of static postures in a room heated to 40˚C plus. One Hot Yoga’s signature Slow Hot Flow is a 60-minute class in Studio 1, heated to 37˚C and consisting of flowing postures that follow a general structure. Studio 2 is kept at 27˚C to help promote arm balances and inversions. Our classes – including Power Flow, Yin Yoga and Grow Your Flow and Prenatal – cater to all levels.
